Nettle
In the Scottish Highlands of old, nettles in the early spring were gathered to make a nourishing soup - no, not a soap – a soup! In fact, the Highlanders of old thought this soup was distinctly superior to that made with kail by the softy Lowlanders. Today, nettle extract is used in soaps, rather than soups, and many people claim it is very soothing, and especially suitable for sensitive skins.
